One Hundred and Twelve ...Week 19 in Lapeer

8-14-17 - 8-20-17 highlights of this week include BUT are not limited to...

Monday we went to get Elder Shultz a hair cut then we napped for like 2 hours and lounged around GREAT P-DAY!

Next highlight of the week was Elder Weinand our new companion from Gillette Wyoming came. It was great. Then continuing the highlights, we started service at the Stone Soup kitchen in Lapeer. It was great. After we got some study in, a great member dinner and a good discussion with our neighbor. We made who wee sticks... pictures NEXT WEEK.

Next Highlight of the week was our District meeting, and then service that followed. It was a great day. At the service we met some cool people. To finish the highlights of the day highlight we had another great member dinner and some great cookie visits with members of the ward.

Another great highlight was Thursday. We had a great lesson with a less active and a member of the ward and we taught the ATONEMENT. It was one of the greatest lesson I think because we taught him about it before and he didn't remember what it was but after he could share what it meant to him. Great lesson and a great guy (BG).

Fridays highlights include our volunteering at the soup kitchen, and then visits with former's. This highlight was a great one, today we drove One Hundred and Twelve miles as we visited former's all day over a good percent of the ward boundary, great day! Other then that we didn't do much.

Sundays highlights included church and then a great member teaching visit to an awesome family.

Y'all have a great week and as a sneak peak into next week... we are having a general authority come to the mission.

GOLDEN CORRAL ...Week 18 in Lapeer

8-7-17 - 8-13-17 highlights of this week include BUT are not limited to....

Monday we went to Port Huron for exchanges and had our preparation day with them also. We went to the Chinese buffet, played Settlers of Catan and napped and then more Catan. It was a great preparation day. From 6-9 we exchanged and I had the opportunity to learn from our district leader Elder Smith. We just did some former visits. That was highlights from Monday.

Some highlights from the week include.... a lesson to their investigator with Elder Smith and then a pre birthday dinner at GOLDEN CORRAL. It was amazing and the last time I was there it was with the Hartley family on the day I entered the MTC, so it has been a while!  It was a well needed visit, we went as a district.

Another highlight from the week was District meeting. There we learned how to teach just doctrine no fluff. Next highlight was that we found another place to serve at a food pantry in Lapeer that was great. Then a great lesson with our investigator (A)  And then another great lesson with our investigator (D).

Next highlight I wish to include was on Thursday we were coming home and someone talked to us and we were able to sit down with him on a bench and teach the book of Mormon to him. Later we had cookie visits with our ward mission leader and then some Ice cream for my birthday at cold stone creamery.

MORE highlights include... Friday we volunteered at Stone Soup and that was great. We now have many places to serve and are finding success as we serve. Oh yeah... I guess this was a highlight... TRANSFER CALLS!  NO ONE GOES. LAPEER GETS JUST ONE OTHER ELDER, here we go again back to a trio...

The best highlight was MY BIRTHDAY... I'M 20! This morning was great, I got to open a package from a family that lived in Monroe at the time I was serving there and a family package with lots of cards and candy. It was a great morning. Later that day I bought some T-shirts and we contacted and had dinner with some members and then contacted more, that was a good day. It was also President Cleveland's birthday!

Sundays highlights were CHURCH and then correlation with our ward mission leader and Dinner at Bishops home. He is an awesome man and has a great family, and then some visits to family in the ward.

"Cant Wait" ...Week 17 in Lapeer

This week has been good! It was an awesome preparation day, we spent it at Great Lakes Crossing Outlet and I did some shopping.

This week has gone by quick and some of the highlights of the week include but are not limited to: We went with a member of the ward to visit a less active member and it was a great visit for us. We read and discussed a chapter from the Book Of Mormon.

Next Highlight of our week included us going to district meeting where our zone leaders were there and we were instructed on how to help our investigators have a spiritual experience at there baptism. It was lots of fun and we learned some good things! Another highlight was we found a place at a local food pantry we can help out at and that was great.

Thursday was the highlight of our week. We served again for LIFE REMODELED in Detroit. It was supper cool and a great experience. We cleaned up the yards of abandoned homes so that it looked clear for cops, when they be chasing We really do it to help clean up the neighbourhood so it looks great. A lot of people come together and volunteer to clean and help renew the area. It was also a WARM day but ya know ya cant win em' all. Later that night as we were preparing for our lesson SHE CANCELLED! That was not a highlight.

Next highlight was we went to see A, our investigator and taught some commandments. He ordered a plastic liahona from some church website, and is already in 2 Nephi 5. He is doing great. Continuing with today's highlights, we volunteered at the Soup kitchen and that is fun but the biggest highlight of the day was we received a referral the other day and we met with her today and we taught the restoration and she is really looking for a church that she feels is right so when Elder Shultz extended a baptism invitation she replied "Cant Wait" It was really cool to hear and witness that the Lord is really preparing the people here and everywhere for the gospel.

Saturdays highlights include a child of record baptism that we spoke at and A our investigator came also, that was sweet.

To cap off the week the last highlight was that we had correlation with our new ward mission leader, it was great!! We had a great week and this week we find out, the night before my birthday, all about transfer news! We also have exchanges this week so it shall be a great one!
