GOLDEN CORRAL ...Week 18 in Lapeer

8-7-17 - 8-13-17 highlights of this week include BUT are not limited to....

Monday we went to Port Huron for exchanges and had our preparation day with them also. We went to the Chinese buffet, played Settlers of Catan and napped and then more Catan. It was a great preparation day. From 6-9 we exchanged and I had the opportunity to learn from our district leader Elder Smith. We just did some former visits. That was highlights from Monday.

Some highlights from the week include.... a lesson to their investigator with Elder Smith and then a pre birthday dinner at GOLDEN CORRAL. It was amazing and the last time I was there it was with the Hartley family on the day I entered the MTC, so it has been a while!  It was a well needed visit, we went as a district.

Another highlight from the week was District meeting. There we learned how to teach just doctrine no fluff. Next highlight was that we found another place to serve at a food pantry in Lapeer that was great. Then a great lesson with our investigator (A)  And then another great lesson with our investigator (D).

Next highlight I wish to include was on Thursday we were coming home and someone talked to us and we were able to sit down with him on a bench and teach the book of Mormon to him. Later we had cookie visits with our ward mission leader and then some Ice cream for my birthday at cold stone creamery.

MORE highlights include... Friday we volunteered at Stone Soup and that was great. We now have many places to serve and are finding success as we serve. Oh yeah... I guess this was a highlight... TRANSFER CALLS!  NO ONE GOES. LAPEER GETS JUST ONE OTHER ELDER, here we go again back to a trio...

The best highlight was MY BIRTHDAY... I'M 20! This morning was great, I got to open a package from a family that lived in Monroe at the time I was serving there and a family package with lots of cards and candy. It was a great morning. Later that day I bought some T-shirts and we contacted and had dinner with some members and then contacted more, that was a good day. It was also President Cleveland's birthday!

Sundays highlights were CHURCH and then correlation with our ward mission leader and Dinner at Bishops home. He is an awesome man and has a great family, and then some visits to family in the ward.

Lots Of Love
